The friendly staff have also consistently made us feel welcome – and did I mention the food. Is there anything that beats a farmhouse breakfast while overlooking the beach? 

Situated in the quiet suburb of Glenashley, we can reach every hotspot within minutes. Gateway, Sibaya Casino, old school Durban CBD – you name it. With the beach time and city trawling ahead, we manage to get out of our plush beds and head out for adventure. 

The intimate arrangement means you can know everyone who’s at the guest house during your stay. It’s just enough movement for extroverts, without compromising on peace for natural home bodies. 

I’ve also grown a tad attached to their adorable dogs and can honestly say, the visits often feel like coming home now. And isn’t that the ultimate goal for any weekend away.”
